Thanks to the principal of Gyeo Le Eol School, Myung Hwa Ju, we were able to learn of the existence of Ji-Yong, a nine year old boy who crossed the North Korean/Chinese border only to be orphaned and stranded in China by himself.
Today we announce our plan to bring this child safely to South Korea through funding a team of experienced individuals to escort Ji-Yong through China and to Laos by foot and cars, and finally a flight to South Korea (a rough sketch of the route below). The reason for this extremely circuitous route is to avoid Ji-Yong's detection and repatriation by authorities at Chinese airports.
Since we lack the necessary funding on hand, starting today we will try our best to raise it as soon as possible!
